asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will make a statement on the progress being made in the clearance of derelict land in the Northern Region.

For the three years ending 31st December, 1969, it is estimated that reclamation of 1,122 acres was completed at a gross cost of £1,241,000. Final approvals were given from 1st April, 1969, to 31st December, 1969, for schemes covering 492 acres at a cost of £1,088,000.
