65. Sir D. Walker-Smith

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations have been made to him about the amount of the allowance for management purposes made by the Housing Corporation to the housing associations and societies which receive help from it; and what replies he has sent.

Mr. Freeson

I know of no representations about this subject, but if the right hon. and learned Member would care to let me know what he has in mind I shall be glad Lo consider it.

66. Sir D. Walker-Smith

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations have been made to him about the difficulties created for housing associations and societies by the amendments and alterations required by the Housing Corporation in the rules governing their behaviour when they receive assistance from the Corporation; and what replies he has sent.

Mr. Freeson

It is usual for the Housing Corporation to assist cost-rent or co-ownership housing societies formed for the purpose of building houses, with Corporation assistance, in the drawing up of their rules. I do not know of any representations on the subject, but if the right hon. and learned Member has any particular case in mind I would be glad to hear about it.
