§ 68. Mr. Edelmanasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will seek powers to prevent universities and other educational establishments from compiling political records of students based on information either solicited or unsolicited.
§ Mr. Edward ShortI am greatly concerned about the whole sequence of recent events at Warwick University. I note that the Chancellor of the University, Lord Radcliffe, has agreed to carry out an investigation; that any one in the university who has information, comments or complaints will be able to get into direct touch with him; and I understand that his findings will be made public.
