asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity how many people were directly employed in the jute industry in Dundee in 1967; and how many are employed in it in 1970.

The latest employment estimates at present available for Dundee are for June, 1968. The estimated numbers of employees in employment in Dundee in the jute industry (minimum list heading 415 of the Standard Industrial Classification) at June, 1967 and June, 1968 were 10,800 and 10,900 respectively.
