§ Mr. WhitakerWe are providing the Sudan Government with an interest-free loan of £459,000 for the replacement of sluice gates at the Sennar Dam on the River Nile. We have also offered, subject to Parliamentary approval, to provide the Sudan Government with an interest-free loan of up to £980,000 towards the financing of the first phase of an irrigation scheme in which 14 pumping stations will be erected on the River Nile in the Northern Province of Sudan.
