§ 58. Sir R. Russellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will arrange for the cost of installing kidney machines in private homes to be borne by the National Health Service instead of by local authorities, when the patient cannot afford to make a contribution.
§ Mr. CrossmanAs I have informed the hon. Gentleman it is part of the rôle of local health authorities within the National Health Service to discharge this responsibility.
