§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will issue instructions to his Department concerned with the checking of doctors prescribing, that in all cases where excessive prescribing of drugs of dependence or addiction is seen, the doctor shall be referred to the General Medical Council.
