HC Deb 18 December 1970 vol 808 cc488-9W
Mr. David Stoddart

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recommendations he has received for an immediate increase in police pensions, with particular reference to those pensioners who have been retired for some years.

Mr. Sharples

My right hon. Friend receives representations from time to time about suggested improvements in the police pensions scheme, which is kept under review in consultation with the Police Council for the United Kingdom. Pensions of retired policemen and dependants will be included in the review of public service pensions announced by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Civil Service Department in the House on 17th November.
