HC Deb 14 December 1970 vol 808 c231W
78. Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what estimate he has made of the cost to public funds of the current advertising campaign by the Export Credits Guarantee Department.

Mr. Anthony Grant

There is ultimately no charge to public funds as E.C.G.D.'s operations, including its advertising costs, are self-financing. In the current financial year, £71,650 is provided under the Central Office of Information Vote for E.C.G.D. advertising, but this sum will be covered by E.C.G.D. receipts paid to the Consolidated Fund.
