HC Deb 10 December 1970 vol 808 c174W
Mr. Bishop

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department in view of the concern regarding the possible effects of data-banks, if he will seek to expedite the report of the Committee on Privacy.

Mr. Carlisle

As I said in reply to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Ilford, North (Mr. Iremonger) on 29th October, the Committee hopes to submit its report by the end of next year. It would be unrealistic to expect them to do so earlier.—[Vol. 805, c. 170.]
