HC Deb 01 December 1970 vol 807 cc313-4W
35. Mr. McCrindle

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many local authorities have in the last six months ceased to have a Mass Radiography Service operating in their areas.

Mr. Alison

All Regional Hospital Boards will be retaining one or more mobile units which will be available to visit local authority areas.

77. Mr. David Stoddart

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of the fact that mass X-ray facilities were provided for Members of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster on 25th November, he will reconsider his decision not to provide such facilities for the general public.

Mr. Alison

No. I would expect Regional Hospital Boards to fulfil current programmes for routine general population surveys, which should then be discontinued.
