HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 c1W
9. Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many hospitals in the five mid-Wales counties are provided with long-term geriatric facilities; and what steps are being taken to increase these facilities in other centres.

Mr. George Thomas:

In these counties eight hospitals provide some 300 beds for long-term geriatric and chronic sick patients. There are at present no firm plans to increase this number of beds.
