HC Deb 07 April 1970 vol 799 c50W
Q3. Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Prime Minister what further communications he has had with President Nixon about the United States Consulate-General in Salisbury; and whether he will make a further statement about the continuation of diplomatic and consular missions by States bound to apply United Nations mandatory sanctions against Rhodesia.

The Prime Minister

Since my talks with President Nixon in Washington in January I have had no further communications with him about the former United States Consulate-General in Salisbury.

With regard to the two remaining missions in Southern Rhodesia, it is for the Governments concerned to comply with the mandatory provisions of Security Council Resolution 277 concerning the termination of representation in Southern Rhodesia.
