HC Deb 07 April 1970 vol 799 cc50-1W
Q9. Mr. Moonman

asked the Prime Minister if he will indicate the type, range and number of further studies he will be instituting in connection with the British application for membership of the European Economic Community.

The Prime Minister

There is continuing work by Departments in preparation for the negotiations, and this is, of course, related principally to the main issues referred to in paragraph 4 of Command Paper 4289.

Q11. Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Prime Minister if the speech of the Minister without Portfolio at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce on 25th March on the question of Great Britain's application to join the European Economic Community represents the policy of Her Majesty's Government.

Q13. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Prime Minister whether the public speech by the Minister without Portfolio to the Manchester Junior Chamber of Commerce on 25th March on Great Britain's application to join the Common Market represents Government policy.

The Prime Minister

I have nothing to add to what I said in reply to Questions on 26th March.—[Vol. 798, c. 1643–4.]
