Q10. Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Prime Minister what alterations he has made in the responsibilities allocated to the Secretary of State for Scotland since 1964; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

I would refer the hon. Member to S.I. 1965 No. 603, S.I. 1966 No. 692, and S.I. 1969 Nos. 383, 1067, and 1498. In addition, my right hon. Q12. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Prime Minister if he will take steps to amend the jurisdiction of the Secretary of State for Scotland in relation to the duties and responsibilities of local authorities in Scotland.

The Prime Minister

On all matters affecting the reform of local government in Scotland I would ask my hon. Friend to await the White Paper which will be published shortly.
