asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many acres of land have been acquired by the Land Commission through its Bristol office up to the present time; and how many acres have been sold for development; and what is the nature of that development.

So far, the only land bought is a small parcel which has been sold to a private builder to enable him to round off a housing development near the centre of Bath. Further sites totalling 235 acres are at various stages of acquisition.
