§ 65. Mr. Templeasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will make the reports of the Royal Commission on Local Government available to local authority associations in the same way as they are made available to Government Departments and regional planning councils in advance of availability to the public.
§ Mr. GreenwoodReports of Royal Commissions become available after they have been presented to Her Majesty and then, by her Command, laid before Parliament. I do not think it would be desirable to vary this procedure.
§ Mr. Will Owenasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he has now received the Report of the Royal Commission on Local Government; and when he expects to be able to place it before the House.
§ Mr. GreenwoodNo. I understand that the Royal Commission is on the point of completing its Report. Printing will go forward as quickly as possible but may take two or three months. When it has been printed, the Commission will submit its report to Her Majesty, by whose command it would be laid before Parliament.
