HC Deb 02 December 1969 vol 792 c247W
Mr. William Edwards

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many houses there are in the ownership of the Forestry Commission in Wales how many are occupied by supervisory forestry workers; and how many are unoccupied.

Mr. George Thomas

There are 807 Forestry Commission houses in Wales: 180 of these are occupied by supervisors (all of whom are in the Forester grade). The number unoccupied is 101: of these 63 are in the process of being sold and 6 are to be occupied by forest workers. The future of the remaining 32 unoccupied houses is being reviewed: only those which the Commission decide they do need for their own use will be retained.
