§ Mr. Chichester-Clark
asked the Minister of Public Building and Works what are the present terms of reference of his National Consultative Council of the Building and Civil Engineering Industries; and what changes have been made in those terms of reference since the Council was first set up.

§ Mr. Mellish
The terms of reference of the National Consultative Council have remained basically unchanged since 1944 and are currently as followsTo consider and advise the Minister of Public Building and Works on matters affecting the Building and Civil Engineering industries, other than those matters normally handled by joint organisations of employers and operatives in the industry in connection with wages and conditions of employment.
