Osborneasked the Secretary of State For the Home Department, (1) in view of his recent estimate that something like 70,000 coloured immigrants come each year to Great Britain, and allowing for their known birth rate, how many coloured people will be here in 1985; and at that rate of increase when he now estimates that the coloured population will exceed the white;
(2) by what year he estimates that the coloured population of Great Britain will exceed 8 per cent. of the white population which is the level at which it stands in the United States of America, assuming the same rate of immigration and birth increase as at present.
