§ 44. Mr, Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that on every weekday within a few yards of the Caledonian Road Police Station many vehicles are parked without a current road fund licence; and why, between 1.30 p.m. and 2.15 p.m. on Monday, 26th February, a number of police going to and from the police station and passing these vehicles did not take down the details of numbers for reporting in accordance with the law.
§ Mr. TaverneAs my hon. Friend knows, most of these officers will have been reporting for, or going off, duty and so not available for routine tasks; but during the five months up to the end of February nearly 300 reports of revenue offences were made in the local police section.
