HC Deb 15 November 1967 vol 754 c112W
49. Mr. Bessell

asked the Minister of Transport what arrangements she will make to receive representations from motoring organisations and other interested bodies before making an experimental order of a 60 miles per hour limit on all-purpose roads.

Mr. John Morris

My right hon. Friend is still considering what speed limits might be best for all-purpose roads. As she said in her statement to the House on 12th July on the 70 m.p.h. experiment all interested bodies will be fully consulted before deciding what limits to adopt.

Sir Clive Bossom

asked the Minister of Transport what arrangements will be made by her Department to consult interested organisations in regard to future policy concerning speed limits on all-purpose roads.

Mr. John Morris

I would refer the hon. Member to the Answer given today to the hon. Member for Bodmin (Mr. Bessell).
