HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c355W
Mr. Haseldine

asked the President of the Board of Trade what discussions are in hand or envisaged with Uruguay, Brazil, the Argentine and Chile concerning tariffs and quotas in these countries related to wool textiles.

Mr. Jay

Representations have been made and will continue to be made at every suitable opportunity about the very high tariffs and other restrictive regulations imposed by these countries on imports of wool textiles. I am glad to say that the Brazilian Government are introducing some relaxations from 1st March.
