HC Deb 09 February 1967 vol 740 c355W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the President of the Board of Trade what amounts of debt have been written off airlines by the Government from 1965 to 1966 in Wales, Scotland and England, respectively.

Mr. J. P. W. Mallalieu

There has been only one British airline for which capital debt to the Government has been written off. Provisions included in the Air Corporations Act, 1966, had the effect of relieving B.O.A.C. as from 1st April, 1965, of all liabilities in respect of capital borrowings amounting to £110 million.
