asked the Minister of Labour what are the numbers of unemployed building operatives in the North-West; what increase there has been monthly since July; and what trades they are in.

asked the Minister of Labour what is the number of unemployed building workers in the Northwest Region; and what steps are being taken to find employment for them.

On 10th October, there were registered as unemployed in the North-Western Region 6,544 workers whose last employment was in the construction industry. A table of figures showing the monthly changes since July and the breakdown by occupations, which is available for wholly unemployed
