HC Deb 09 March 1966 vol 725 c542W
Mr. Neave

asked the Minister of Transport whether she will make a statement on the collision involving two freight trains in Didcot goods yard on 7th March, as a result of which eight wagons of a coal train, including the guards van, were derailed; and if she will hold an inquiry.

Mr. John Morris

The British Railways Board have told me that no one was injured in this accident and that the main line was not obstructed. It is not, therefore, of the kind that is required by statute to be reported to my right hon. Friend and no Public Inquiry will be held.
