§ Mr. Parkasked the Minister of Transport whether, when the advice of regional economic planning councils is sought on railway passenger closure proposals, the information available to the councils will in future include all relevant details of the British Railways Board's plans in respect of the carriage of freight.
§ Mrs. CastleI have discussed this with the chairmen of the Regional Economic Planning Councils and also with the Chairman of the Railways Board, who is arranging at my request to keep the Councils informed from time to time of the Board's national plan for railway freight services and of the provisions made in that plan for servicing each region.
