asked Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what he will do to protect the interests of the horticultural industry following the new economy measures.

It remains our policy that horticulture should serve the interests of the nation by making its contribution to the selective expansion programme announced last year and, within the framework of the statement made by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 20th July, we shall continue to assist the industry to do this.
