HC Deb 27 July 1966 vol 732 c266W
77. Mr. Buchanan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland why, in the Clydebank Town Council (Yoker Burn) Flood Prevention Scheme 1964 where Glasgow Corporation is required to meet part of the total cost, it does not receive an equal proportion of the Government grant toward the cost of the scheme; and if he will remedy this inequality.

Dr. Dickson Mabon

Because grants given under the Flood Prevention (Scotland) Act, 1961, are related to each local authority's rating resources.
