HC Deb 27 July 1966 vol 732 c266W
Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is the estimated value of swimming baths and new local government offices in Scotland which will be cut back as a result of the economy measures;

(2) what proportion of the £55 million cut back in central Government and local authority spending will apply to spending in Scotland;

(3) what estimate he has made of the cut back in the road-building programme for Scotland which will result from the economy measures.

Mr. Ross

The Scottish share of £55 million will be £3.5 million, of which £2 million will relate to local authority offices, recreational facilities, etc., and most of the remainder to roads.
