84. Mr. Bidwell

asked the Minister of Transport if she will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the British Railways Board to ensure that there is no discrimination against coloured railway workers in considering personnel for promotion.

85. Mr. Fisher

asked the Minister of Transport, in view of the fact that a colour bar is in operation for promotional employment at certain stations, whether she will give a general direction to British Railways to discontinue this practice.

89. Mr. Thorpe

asked the Minister of Transport if she will give a general direction, in the national interest, to British Railways that in making staff appointments at all levels the racial origins of applicants should be ignored.
