HC Deb 09 February 1966 vol 724 c104W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the number of accidents, fatal and otherwise, among mountain climbers and rescuers on mountains in northern Scotland during each of the past 10 years; and what provision he has made, and plans to make, for the setting up of a mountain-rescue air station so as to minimise the loss and damage caused by such accidents.

Mr. Ross

The following information is contained in chief constables' annual reports about fatal and non-fatal accidents in Argyll, Inverness-shire, Ross and Sutherland and the Scottish North-Eastern Counties. I have no powers to establish a mountain rescue air station.
