HC Deb 03 August 1966 vol 733 cc131-2W
116. Mr. Hogg

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has considered the abnormally large number of complaints about the quality of the postal service received from workers, businesses and householders in the Parliamentary constituency of St. Marylebone; and what steps he proposes to adopt to improve matters.

Mr. Edward Short

I regret that some disturbance to the delivery services in the right hon. and learned Gentleman's constituency has been caused by the recent move of the postman delivery force to the new Western District Office building and a shortage of staff. Every effort is being made to restore the services to normal and the situation is rapidly improving.
