58. Mr. W. T. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what treatment is available in prison for Michael Brooke Baker and others like him who are imprisoned for homosexual offences.

Miss Bacon

There is a special psychiatric prison at Grendon Underwood in Buckinghamshire and there are psychiatric units at Wormwood Scrubs, Wakefield and Holloway prisons, where prisoners can have treatment if they are suitable and willing to receive it. Arrangement are also made in suitable cases for prisoners to receive psychotherapy from qualified doctors at other prisons. Baker is receiving psychotherapy at Wormwood Scrubs.
