asked the Secretary for Technical Co-operation if he will give particulars of the distribution overseas of scientific research workers employed by his Department, or to whose employment his Department makes some contribution.

Of the 915 research workers overseas supplied by my Department 643 are in Africa; 142 in the West Indies and 108 in the Far East and Pacific.

I give below tables showing this distribution in more detail both by area and function.
