HC Deb 22 November 1963 vol 684 cc153-4W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will include a representation from hospital boards of management in the planning authority for the new Lanarkshire hospitals, in view of their experience and interest in such projects; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Noble

The Western Regional Hospital Board has arranged for the basic schedules of accommodation for seven district general hospitals to be prepared by a group of officers representing all the boards of management concerned. This procedure is designed to reduce the time and staff effort that would be required to plan each hospital separately. The members of the boards of management will be consulted when the schedules of accommodation are ready and before any plans are prepared.
