§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what provision he is at present making for additional geriatric beds and the upgrading of existing inadequate wards; and what plans he has for improving geriatric hospital facilities in the next three years.
§ Mr. NobleSchemes now in progress will provide 284 additional beds and schemes to be started in the next three years will provide a further 672 beds. As part of their delegated responsibilities regional hospital boards are carrying out ward improvements at a number of existing geriatric hospitals.
