Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total amount of additional funds allocated to regional hospital boards since September 1963; and what was the allocation to each board of management in the Western Regional Board Area.

Additional funds for 1963–64 amounting to £250,000 for capital expenditure on minor building schemes and £200,000 for revenue expenditure on maintenance have been allocated to Regional Hospital Boards in Scotland since September for the relief of winter unemployment in development districts. The Western Regional Hospital Board have made the following allocation for schemes in their area:
