§ Sir E. BoyleThe fees charged to candidates will vary according to the size and policies of each examining board, and according to the number of subjects offered by each candidate. The average fee for candidates who offer four subjects in the summer of 1965 might be of the order of £4. The local education authorities will meet the fees of candidates entered by maintained schools.
