Mr. Frank Allaun

asked the President of the Board of Trade why a licence was refused for the export to Cuba of tyres for aircraft to be used for the spraying of agricultural crops.

All such applications are considered on their merits from the point of view of the broad national interest. In this case it was decided that the national interest would be best served by refusing a licence.
