§ Mr. C. Pannell03 and Q4. asked the Prime Minister (1) whether he will introduce legislation to ensure that Mr. Speaker's emoluments are appropriate to maintain his proper precedence within the House and the country;
(2) what steps he proposes to take to ensure that Ministers receive adequate financial recognition, in view of the higher salaries earned by the senior civil servants in their Departments.
