HC Deb 14 November 1962 vol 667 c53W
68. Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Transport what his plans are for relieving traffic congestion at the junction of the North Circular Road with Harrow Road, N.W.10.

Mr. Marples

The long-term solution must be a flyover. But because of the complexity of the junction this is bound to be very expensive. Other flyovers on the North Circular Road must be built first.

In the short term, therefore, I am considering proposals for widening the present narrow approaches of Harrow Road to the junction. I hope to find a place for such a scheme in the next extension of my road programme.
