HC Deb 04 July 1962 vol 662 c41W
38. Mr. Fletcher

asked the Minister of Transport what reply he has sent to the representations made to him by the Islington Borough Council rejecting his proposals to establish a lorry route through the Borough of Islington, and pointing out that an increase in heavy vehicles through the borough, particularly St. Paul's Road, Clephane Road and Englefield Road, is likely to create accident black spots, and will hamper the council's efforts to reduce road accidents.

Mr. Marples

I have not yet replied to the Islington Borough Council. Their representations, and the many others I have received, are being studied.
