HC Deb 18 April 1962 vol 658 cc75-6W
72. Commander Pursey

askd the Civil Lord of the Admiralty if he will state the number of Greenwich Hospital headquarters staff accommodated at 13 Devonshire Square, London, E.C.2, the number of rooms occupied, and the annual rent paid; and why this staff is not accommodated in hospital property at Greenwich, so as to save the expense for the benefit of Greenwich Hospital naval pensions.

Mr. C. Ian Orr-Ewing

The headquarters staff of twelve occupy six rooms. It is not customary to reveal the rent paid.

The idea of locating the headquarters at Greenwich has been considered in the past, but has been rejected. It would be less convenient and could only be done at the expense of existing tenants.
