HC Deb 18 April 1962 vol 658 c75W
71. Commander Pursey

asked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty if he will state the present rent received by Greenwich Hospital from the Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich, block of flats and the anticipated rent if the flats are demolished and a restaurant built in their place; and why the flats cannot remain and the restaurant be built on hospital ground on the opposite side of King William Walk.

Mr. C. Ian Orr-Ewing

The reconversion of this building to its original rôle of a riverside restaurant is under consideration by the trustees for Greenwich Hospital as part of the normal process of ensuring that their property is put to the most economical use. It is not the intention to demolish the present building or to build a new restaurant. It is not customary to reveal rents received or expected.
