HC Deb 27 November 1961 vol 650 c11W
Mr. Healey

asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will make a statement on the situation in Laos.

Mr. Heath

The meeting between the three Princes, representing the main factions in Laos, to discuss the composition of a coalition Government has not yet taken place. Practical arrangements concerning the number of troops to accompany each Prince and the possible creation of a neutralised zone in the Conference area at Vientiane are under discussion and the meeting is expected to take place shortly.

As regards the cease-fire and the progress of the Conference at Geneva, I have nothing to add to my Written Answer to the hon. Gentleman the Member for Eton and Slough (Mr. Brockway) on 22nd November.
