Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, before his next Budget, he will carry out a comprehensive review of the present range of indirect taxation, with a view to eliminating, as far as possible, the levying of high and discriminatory rates of taxation on goods and articles which are either the tools of trade or, in relation to which, the heavy taxation has an adverse effect on the export trade.
