39. Mr. Leavyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will call for a report from the Metropolitan Police on the noise measuring device which was recently made available to them by the Noise Abatement Society.
§ Mr. RentonI am informed by the Commissioner of Police that tests have been carried out with the instrument. The Commissioner does not consider that the use of an instrument of this kind would assist the police to enforce the law.
