HC Deb 14 April 1960 vol 621 c166W
Mr. F. Noel-Baker

asked the Minister of Transport the proportion of fatal road accidents for twelve months to the nearest convenient date in which heavy commercial vehicles were concerned.

Mr. Marples

Precise figures are not available. It is estimated that in 1958 goods vehicles of over 3 tons unladen weight were involved in about 14 per cent. of all fatal road accidents.
