§ 63. Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Transport, in view of the exemption from parking restrictions granted in Glasgow, Coventry, and other areas to certain types of disabled drivers of specialised vehicles, whether he will consider a similar exemption for the Metropolitan Police area.
§ Mr. MarplesWhilst I have every sympathy with disabled drivers, I am afraid that I could not agree to their general exemption from regulations restricting waiting in the Metropolitan Police District. I am sure that it is better for them to rely on the understanding and assistance of the police who are always prepared to help wherever practicable.
